Cramp…..

I intended to have another nice long run in the park this morning.  I even downloaded a new playlist, made sure to eat my “long run breakfast”, and left the housework for later…..What I was not intending to have was a cramp in my side that lasted 3 miles. Thumbs down

Let’s talk about the good stuff first….

Dinner last night was yummmmm.  I didn’t get hungry until late and when I did, I didn’t want what I had made the guys for dinner.  Fish, broccoli, and rice.  So I whipped up another Dashing Dish inspired protein shake.

photo 1

Whoa Momma was it good!  I couldn’t keep my kids away from me!

Nutella & Banana Protein Shake

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 scoop MRM protein powder
1/2 frozen banana
2 tbsp. Nutella
Ice
1/2 cup water
many shakes of cinnamon

Even though I didn’t workout yesterday my Bodybugg Stats were good!

I am steadily making my way back down to my happy weight.  Over the summer my weight fluctuated up and down a lot but I gained a few pounds that need to pack up their bags and get the heck outta dodge!

So back to this morning….BLERGH

It was a busy morning and I didn’t get to eat breakfast until after I had walked Aidan to school and taken care of a few things that needed my immediate attention.  So about 20 minutes before I left I scarfed down this…

photo 2

Nature’s Own Cinnamon Raisin Bagel w/ 1 tbsp. Natural Peanut Butter.

Word of advice,  never “scarf down” your food, it’s unbecoming. Winking smile

So 20 min later I am trotting along the trail and my side cramps up like crazy….We have all had cramps before whilst working out right?  I usually can just run them off, breathe through it, whatever.  This lasted then entire 3 miles until I gave up and went home.  It started on my left side then moved it’s way to the middle.  I stopped, massaged the area, jogged a little while, it started up again.  I breathed deeply, tried to twist from side to side as I jogged.  I stopped and stretched some more.  Jogged along, it started again.  Then just when I thought I had gotten rid of it, it started on my right side.  I couldn’t even jog anymore, I had to walk it hurt so bad.  I usually jog 15 min down the trail, 15 back to the start, 15 down, 15 back and I am done.  By the time I got back to the start the first time, I was over it and went home. Sad day.

I really needed to get a lot done today so I suppose the extra time was good.  At least I got out there and got some exercise in, even if it wasn’t what I had wanted to do.  Annoyed

When I got home I tended to the housework I had left,  made 27 billion appointments for all of us & had a little snack

photo 4

Jamie Eason’s cinnamon protein bread and some Greek yogurt.

I should mention I tried doing her LiveFit program over the summer.  NOT for me.  I wish I could have stuck it out but I am a cardio QUEEN and not being able to do any cardio left me down right depressed.  Also, I could never eat that much food.  I really did give it an all out effort though, and I gained some much needed muscle.  I learned that I need to do more strength training and have since incorporated 2-3 days a week doing that.  In fact that’s my workout for tomorrow.  One of her upper body workouts plus some cardio of course! The lower body workout is a KILLER! Leaves me all shaky and wobbly.  I do adore Jamie Eason.

I am off to fold some laundry and go get the kiddos from school.  Wish me luck, the little one comes home in the foulest of moods.

I’ll show him this and he will be nicer.

Super Snacky

It’s so true what they say about needing a vacation from your vacation.  I was only gone for three days but when I got home I had 2 days of catching up to do.  Thursday was full of to-do’s like getting my hair, nails and toes done, laundry, cleaning, making a grocery list, and a menu for next week. Plus errands, errands and more errands….Friday had an epic grocery trip that took two hours…..Blerg….I was seriously exhausted after that. For real…I came home and took a nap! I intended on working out but yeah….that was a no-go.  We were out of EVERYTHING!  I am not exaggerating.  My children were eating RAISINS….they hate raisins….

Breakfast

Last week I made some pancakes out of my new cookbook! The recipe makes 18 pancakes so I put them in the freezer for later days.  I am so glad I did because I am not exactly sure what I would have eaten.  Maybe some dry oatmeal? PB out of the jar? Dry cereal?

Apple Walnut Pancakes – Taste of Home

w/ 1 tbsp. peanut butter & a sprinkle of chia seeds.

I substituted the oil in this recipe with 2 tbsp. unsweetened apple sauce and used 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk instead of skim milk.  I recalculated the nutrition facts to be

per pancake:  84 calories, 12 carbs, 3 fat, 2 fiber, 3 protein.

These are really good.  I had them again this morning except with, 1 teaspoon Brummel & Brown butter, 2 tsp. sugar-free syrup and chia seeds.

Then off I was to the grocery store.  I was super hungry by the time I finally made it home.  While I was figuring out what I wanted for lunch I had these…..

photo 4 (2)

Gala apple, the juiciest best tasting peach ever and a Quaker School Days Best Berry granola bar.  SO YUM!

And then this.

So, after that, I wasn’t hungry anymore and all I wanted was to lay down for a nap.

….and hour later I had these

Jamie’s Bread

So I baked up a batch and was counting the seconds until it was ready to eat!

I should have just picked up one of those little single servings of Ben & Jerry’s for this amount of calories.  It was horrible.   Oh well, live and learn!

Today I am all caught up and it was back to business as usual.  I was able to get up at my usual time and make it to the gym.  I ran on the treadmill for 30 and then did some upper body work.  Later today we have some Father’s Day shopping to do and then I have a YUMMY dinner to make!

Here is some TRUTH for your Saturday!!!!

photo 5 (3)

Cookie dough truffles.

Thank goodness they’re almost gone.

Basically I have been living off fruit and bread with bits of protein here and there!   I am eating what I am wanting….no need to eat what you don’t want just to get to the stuff you really want.  Winking smile But I think because we have been really busy this week I am just grabbing what is convenient.  I don’t have to give any thought or put prep into it.  I mean at least it’s not chips and cookies, or fast food, but I can do much better than this. A Food Rut is what I call it!  I am going to REALLY make an effort this week to plan some meals.  I haven’t been able to spend the time I like to gather recipes and make out a grocery list.  I have been having to go grocery shopping on the fly and just wing it with a haphazardly made list of items we are out of.  As I was grocery shopping yesterday I started to get hungry.  I saw pasta and sauce and thought….”Ohhhh I want some spaghetti.”  I saw some hamburger buns and thought “Man, I want a burger.”  I saw a Boboli Whole Wheat Pizza Crust and thought, “Dang….I need that….I want some pizza!”  Then I thought ok, next week….I am making all of that!

What I am Loving Lately

photo 2 (2)

Spin.

I have done it 3 days this week and I am loving it!  It’s so challenging and fun.  I have been wearing my heart rate monitor to make sure I am not over doing since the first time I tried the class I felt like I was going to pass out.  I have been burning about 500 calories in the 60 min class and about 350 in the 45 min class.  There have been several times I have had to really pull back because it was too hard.  I love that because it means I have room to improve and something to work on!  It feels great to be out of that exercise rut.  Now, if I can just get out of the food rut!

photo 4 (2)

Cetaphil Cleanser

I know this has been around for ages, but it’s new to me.  I LOVE IT!  I have oily and sensitive skin. This seems to have made my skin less oily, softer, evened out my skin tone, improved the texture and cleared up a recent break out over night. Jeremy’s skin is the same as mine and he will use whatever I use to wash his face.  I have noticed an improvement in his skin as well.

Well, I am off to spend 4.5 hours on Pinterest gathering recipes…..wish me luck!!!

Articles I have loved this week:

Controlling Post workout hunger – Greatist.  I know if I don’t eat enough breakfast I fall victim to this.

Mouse is Jillian’s partner?!  It’s like a twist at the end of the book!  I am SO excited for them!  It’s no secret she is a huge role model for me and I attribute about 95% of my weight loss to her no nonsense approach to fitness and nutrition.  I look forward to hearing about her adventures in Mommyhood!

I hope everyone has a beautiful and safe Memorial Day Weekend!

“I get that a lot.”

Last night before bed I thought I would whip up something I had seen on one of the blogs I like to read.  A breakfast cookie.  It sounded interesting and I knew I would probably be in a rush to eat something this morning before church.  This sounded perfect!

photo 1photo 2

photo 3photo 4

photo 5

Breakfast “cookie” from Fitnessista

It was really good.  I don’t know what I expected but it was not what I expected.  It was a lot like over night oats.  There was no reason to spread it out onto the plate, I could have just eaten it out of the bowl.  Although it wasn’t very filling,( I had to have a banana too) it was really good and I will definitely be making it again!

Church today was really good.  I have to admit I was having a hard time following our Pastor’s message but when I went to my class and we discussed the lesson there, I had a few A-HA! moments.  Great lesson today.  I usually volunteer with the 2 yr. olds in the nursery but today they needed someone to help with the newborns so they asked me.  Um….YES PLEASE!  They were so sweet and adorable.  The girl I was volunteering with asked if I was going to have more kids and I said NO WAY!  I love kids and I love my kids but….yeah….she didn’t seem to understand.  Winking smile She also was very confused when I told her I had a 10 yr. old.

“You don’t look old enough to have a 10 yr. old.”

“Yeah, I get that a lot.”

…..stares at me.

I smile…..

Most of the time they will ask how old I am.  She didn’t and I am sorry, but her confusion was entertaining me, so I didn’t offer my age.

I promise there was lettuce under all that!

An “Ordinary Day” Date

I felt it was a good idea to go to the grocery store yesterday with a little snack in my belly. Otherwise, I’m sure the M&M trail mix and Popchips would have ended up in my basket, a definite NO NO in this house. Because Mommy has food issues….my poor children. I hope to God that I am teaching them good eating habits and not dooming them to a life of healthy food rebellion.

My “snack” was in reality an early dinner because I was really hungry at the time and I also knew I would be gone for a while. Well past dinner time. A little 150 calorie snack was not going to keep me satisfied for the long haul.

photo 1

Dannon fat-free yogurt (I can’t find traditional anymore Thumbs down), 7 Blue Diamond natural almonds, 1/4 cup Honey Bunches of Oats, & 1 piece of cinnamon swirl protein bread.

When I got home from grocery shopping I was a little hungry so I toasted 1/2 a Thomas Whole Wheat Bagel Thin with 1 tbsp. Sunbutter. I also had a few handfuls of Great Grains Cereal in Banana Nut Crunch (just purchased from the store & I think may be my new favorite, just have to try to practice portion control) and ~ 10 peanuts.

Today’s Breakfast

I was SUPER hungry this morning. Earlier than normal too.

photo 2 (2)

1/2 Thomas Whole Wheat Bagel Thin, 1 tbsp. Sunbutter, 1/2 large banana, sprinkle of cinnamon & Chobani 2% Strawberry Banana Greek Yogurt.

Thursday is our “Date Day”. We usually do something out of the ordinary but today we just enjoyed a normal day…..WITHOUT kids. Which is a “date” in itself. It was so nice to have a conversation with with no interruptions. A lot of time we just give up talking to each other because we can’t even finish a sentence. That’s why “Date Day” is so sacred to us! Next week is Aidan’s last week of school so we have just one more date left before the summer. Next year he will start Kindergarten which means we will have several opportunities to date. Looking way forward to that! Times they are a changin!

For our “date” today we went to the gym and I had yet ANOTHER fantastic workout. I really felt like I could have ran some more when I got home. I even suggested to Jeremy that we do Jillian (TWSS) but quickly dismissed that idea! I ran on the treadmill for 30 min, topping out at 6.0 mph again! (YAY!) and then did a version of my at-home upper body workout. I did the shoulder workout, 3 sets of 15 bicep curls w/ 8lb free weights then 3 sets of 25 bench dips.

Lunch

So yummy again!

Apple, orange, leftover broccoli from yesterday, turkey and reduced fat Swiss cheese on a La Tortilla Factory Smart & Delicious Soft Wrap pressed in my Panini Maker.

I love these, they are so yummy. They have mild sweet and nutty taste that really complimented the turkey cheese combination.

I am finding myself having a daily Spark instead of a weekly Spark. It is making all the difference in my energy levels through the afternoon. Today my Spark lady gave me a sample of the pink lemonade. It was ok, but the mandarin orange is my favorite of them all.

It’s the simple things…..

Tonight we have Willy Wonka performance to attend at a certain elementary school! Willy Wonka is one of my favorite favorite movies. Old and new.

“Hello Starshine! The Earth says HELLOOOOO!”

Have a lovely evening my friends!

Request Denied….

So my abundant energy yesterday took a complete nose dive around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.  I was counting the minutes until Jeremy finally made it home.  I was so tired that I was laying in bed by the time he got home and didn’t even have enough energy to get onto my children who were completely taking advantage of the fact that Mommy was collapsed in the bed.

“Aidan, go brush your teeth.”

“No.”

“Luke have you put lotion on? And please go put some socks on your feet, I mopped today”

request denied…..

“Boys please stay in your rooms until Daddy gets home, don’t talk to each other and please stop fighting.”

5 min later I hear them fighting…..in the living room.  Whatever, I didn’t even care anymore.  Been there before?

Jeremy walked through that door not a minute too soon.  He was so sweet and brought home some ice cream, but I was too exhausted to eat it!  Thumbs down I was dead to the world by 8pm.

I slept well last night and felt really good this morning.  I am still feeling really good which is surprising because normally I am worthless by 2pm.  Which got me thinking.  I had a really incredible workout yesterday.  Not only did I run, but I came home and did level 2 of 30 Day Shred, THEN I mopped our floors.  But by 3…..forget it.  It was literally like when your cold medicine has worn off.  It was sudden, I was driving home from the grocery store and it hit me.

This morning I had another incredible run.  I ran for 30 min increasing the speed every 5 minutes.  I did walk for 5 min in between but finished like I was some sort of machine at 5.8 for 2 min and then 6 mph for 2 min, which is fast for these stubby legs.  I really surprised myself.   I was definitely in “the zone”.  I did some ab work afterwards and then some stretching.  When I got home I felt like running another couple of miles or doing a DVD.  But I had to start on some other things so I didn’t have the time.  For some reason I decided to look up L-Carnitine which is the other supplement in the raspberry ketone I am taking.  I found that one of the benefits of a carnitine supplement is that it has been shown to reduce fatigue.   I am wondering if it has anything to do with the way I have felt during my workouts.  I took one this morning with breakfast and my morning vitamins and I also took one with lunch instead of dinner (like I did last night).  I am feeling great!  I did just drink some Spark,  so I am sure that has something to do with it too.  But it’s something to note!  I decided on the TopSecret formula after a woman at GNC recommended the L-Carnitine alone.  She had some good results in fat loss with it.  I have heard of L-Carnitine but have never been one for supplements so I never paid much attention to the uses of it.

WEB MD – Benefits of L-Carnitine

What’s funny is the above article says it is “likely ineffective for improving athletic ability. There is no evidence that taking L-carnitine supplements will improve exercise performance or endurance, even in trained athletes.”

Well, I am here to tell you now….it seems to be workin for me…..Winking smile  But then again, I could just be having a good couple of days!

So far I am liking the supplement.  I should be getting my kidney bean extract sometime soon.  I am still deciding if I want to start taking it as well.  I think I will wait until I am finished with the ketones so I don’t contaminate the experiment Winking smile

My eats and treat so far today are:

Breakfast

Another Smoothie.  I have been craving them in the morning.  I think because it’s not as chilly and they seem to settle faster enabling me to get to the gym earlier.  Even though I LOVE this combo, I need to come up with a new one.  Today’s smoothie was exceptional and super thick.  I almost had to eat it with a spoon.

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop EAS Lean 15
  • 1 tablespoon chia
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 small frozen banana

I have to get started on the meal planning and grocery list now so I can go grocery shopping later this evening while Jeremy takes the boys to church.

Speaking of grocery shopping….I stumbled upon this this afternoon!

Avoid Grocery Store Aisles – Greatist

I do tend to stick to the perimeter,  but the stores are really getting good about stocking shelves with more natural products.  I also think many manufacturers are catching onto the idea of producing more natural products.

Lastly, something to make you giggle….or at least smile….and please excuse the language in the first part….but unfortunately, it’s the truth. Annoyed

Men Vs. Womenvia

One of those days

Today has been one that I wish I could just go back to bed and start over.  We skipped the gym in favor of bumming around the house and catching up on laundry/housework that I wasn’t able to get to over the weekend.  I was so spacey that I didn’t even think about taking any pictures of my eats for the day.  Don’t worry, nothing stellar, all my normal stuff.

Breakfast

Lunch

Snack

1.5 bags Pop-Secret 100 calorie bag popcorn.  (Aidan didn’t want the rest of his so I helped him out)

I am not sure what I am going to make for dinner tonight……nothing out of the ordinary  or new though!

The most exciting part of my day is the fact that I made it to the post office and the grocery store for a few items and I am waiting on a package to be delivered!  Mondays are slow around here folks!

So lets talk about Sunday….I was pretty much going non-stop from 5am until 11pm.  This may have everything to do with why I am so sluggish and spacey today.

Church was really good.  I got there on time this week with zero issues.  Service was a great message about discipline and obedience, I visited a new class that I am not sure was a good fit for me but I think I will give it one more try before going back to the other one.  Volunteering in the nursery was fun!  The little babies are just too sweet!  I love them so much.

I am sorry I have nothing to show for what I ate yesterday, it was pretty sporadic and whatever I could eat quickly!  I can’t even remember breakfast!  Oh wait….yogurt, sandwich thin with peanut butter!  Winking smile

So anyway, our church had a Spring picnic yesterday afternoon that was so much fun!  My friend Anyssa and her two girls came with Aidan and me.

I got *thisclose*.  His demeanor and energy were very charming and gentle.  He looked each and every fan in the eye and spoke softly, asking how they were doing.  I wish I could have shaken the man’s hand.  He sings one of my favorite songs ever.

Your Love

My heart melted when I looked over to see Aidan clapping and singing along with him.  His eyes lit up when a song came on that he recognized.  He looked at me and said “That’s the one on my radio!  He is in my radio!”  He was fascinated by the fact that he was seeing the man who sings the songs on his radio.  Totally adorbs.

Well, hopefully I will get some fire under my britches for the next several hours of the day and get something accomplished around here!  If not….oh well….there is always tomorrow!

My favorite kind of day

I was up at my usual time this morning thanks to a fantastic nights sleep.  By 7am I had had my quiet time and coffee and was ready to start the day.  The rest of the house was still fast asleep so I decided I would eat a banana and go for a 5 mile run.

photo 1

My run felt incredible!  It was gorgeous this morning.  I tried my best to take it all in because I know my days of running in the morning are numbered.  By 8 am I was a sweaty stinky mess. I could have gone for an additional 2 miles but I knew I still needed to eat breakfast and get ready for our outing later.

This was SOOO yummy!  I wasn’t crazy about the chicken as usual, but the rest of it was so wonderful.  I gave Jeremy half of my chicken and ate all the rest.

Then I had two pieces of Jamie’s bread….this batch will not last long! Winking smile

I had such a wonderful day today.  Full of my favorite things.  A really good and long quiet prayer time, coffee was superb, an exceptional run, fun with little A, baking, cooking a healthy meal for my guys, and I will end it with some reading….as long as I can keep my eyes open! We have a long day planned for tomorrow so I better try to get in bed ASAP!

What I am loving right now.

Jeremy loves 80’s music.  I can’t blame him, it was some good stuff!  He showed this to me a couple of days ago and I have been listening to it pretty much constantly ever since!

Finding Rhythm

As a new blogger I am trying different things (for lack of better terms) to “find my mojo” in the blogging world.  One is to find my rhythm.  I have said before that while I LOVE to share about fitness and nutrition, about my boys and life in general…it takes time and commitment.  Time away from my responsibilities, my other loves like my sweet boys, reading, quiet time, baking, cooking, working out.  Lately things seem to be a tad out of balance again.  I have spent the past two days catching up on things that have fallen by the wayside.…..So, in trying to find a new rhythm I am going to try posting in the afternoons instead of the mornings.  Mornings are …….chaotic.  Afternoons are……well less chaotic….for a few hours anyway.  So hopefully posting in the afternoons/evenings will work out better.  If not, I’ll try something else!

This evening,  I would like to catch up for yesterday and today and then hopefully by tomorrow I can start posting a little differently.

Workout

Not gonna lie here, it totally sucked.  I did 15 on the treadmill, trying desperately to get my heart rate up.  Even did some crazy intervals….no go.  Thumbs down  So I switched to the elliptical.  I was able to get a good burn on there but by that time I was just grumpy britches so I ended it at 15 mins.  I went over to the weights and had a much better time over there.

2 sets of 10 push-ups on toes

1 set of 10 push-ups in knees

2 sets of 25 bench dips

The shoulder part of my upper body workout

3 sets of 15 bicep curls w/ 8lb weights

Then I did my ab challenge and a stretch out.

Over all,  I think it was a good workout, but it didn’t FEEL like one.  I think I need to officially break up with my heart rate monitor.  We took a break a while ago but I think it needs to be official this time.  It’s ruining my workout mojo.  It was great while it lasted.  It REALLY helped me get over some humps and I would recommend the use of one to everyone,  but for me…..it’s time to go.  I really wanted that pink one too.  I’ll have to splurge on another fitness accessory instead….

I made Hungry Girl’s White Pizza with Flatout flatbread.  It was SUPER yummy.  The only thing I didn’t like was that the bread didn’t get very crispy.   I could have rolled it up into a wrap, which would have been yummy as well, but not what I was going for.  I should have baked the bread for a while first to make it a little more crispy.

I had several snacks through the day.  An apple, orange, some protein bread, I think a of couple granola bars…..Snacky Day for sure.

Aidan and I planted some flowers and collected bugs…..*shiver*

Workout

BOB

It was hard, it was intense and once again my first thought was…

Anchorman

Today, I tried a few of the supplements I got over the weekend.

First was this

The name of it made me laugh.

Beast Mode by Beast Sports Nutrition was good!  I liked it a lot.  I don’t think it gave me that edge they speak of during the workout, Bob was hard as ever (TWSS).  I was feeling a little sluggish before I drank it. Then I had a big burst of energy and my mind was much more alert about 30 min after drinking it.  The flavor was yummy and fruity!  The only thing that was weird and I will have to find out why this was but, I had this pins and needles feeling in my face, hands and legs for a few hours.  Not pleasant.

After my workout I drank this

Vega Sport Recovery Accelerator

I was nervous since the last time I tried a Vega product, I was sadly disappointed.  But this was pretty good!  It was a bit grainy and earthy tasting but I poured it over ice and that made it better.  It reminded me of a V-8.  After today’s workout I was toast.  I drank this immediately after and it made me feel incredible!  I mopped the floors as well as vacuum plus a lot of other cleaning type stuff.  I did some mental tasks like ordering birth certificates,  finding coupons and recipes.  I haven’t felt the least bit tired physically or mentally today.  Both products seemed to have an appetite suppressing effect too.

I didn’t get hungry until around 1:30 so I grabbed a quick snack I could eat on the way to get Aidan from school.

Lunch Part I

Banana and 1 serving of Blue Diamond Whole Natural Almonds

That seemed to kick start my appetite and I was hungry for “lunch” around 2:30 when we got back.

Jamie’s bread + 1 tsp. PB.

Since I ate lunch pretty late I wasn’t very hungry for a big dinner.  I’d love to be able to eat most of my calories during the day then have a light dinner.  A new goal to work on I guess!

Dinner

Dannon Greek Yogurt with 1 serving of protein bread on top.

I am alarmed by the lack of vegetables in my diet the past several days.  I definitely need to work on that!

…..but one last thing….I found this while cleaning my sweet Luke’s room this afternoon.

We got him a little journal as one of his baptism gifts and this is what he is writing in it.   Not comics, or stories about beyblades or pokemons…..He is such a little thinker.  It’s hard to tell what’s going on in his mind most of the time as he is very introverted.  But times like this I am reminded that beneath that seemingly tough exterior is a soft vulnerable heart.  Precious boy.  God bless & keep Luke.

Pinkberry <3

Sweet Sweet pinkberry, we meet again.

Salted Caramel, brownie bites, toasted almonds and cinnamon streusel.

I find it somewhat sad that this was the best part of my day yesterday.  Sad, or it shows just how fantastically terrifically amazing this stuff is.  I am reminded of that episode of Seinfeld…..

Yesterday was a super relaxing day.  The closest thing I got to exercise was walking around the Container Store for an hour and half  Winking smile.   I had hoped to do some yoga but trying to do yoga in a house full of boys is counter productive.  So I settled on falling asleep on Luke’s bed for an hour.  What?…..the point was to relax… I did also put away all my goodies from the Container Store.  Well, all my stuff IN or ON the goodies I got from the Container Store.  I never knew a Lazy Susan could give me so much peace.

My breakfast was oats, of course, lunch was pinkberry, snack was an apple, orange, and two pieces of protein bread.  Something about pinkberry I have noticed is that I am not hungry after I have eaten it.  I am not sure why, but it seems different than the other fro-yos I have had.  With all the others I am hungry 30 min later.  It does seem much creamier and more rich so it quite possibly could have everything to do with the quality of ingredients they use.  I don’t know?  Something to ponder.

Dinner

Turkey and reduced-fat Provolone Panini on a Thomas Whole Wheat Bagel Thin.

Baby carrots, fruit bowl w/ half a sliced banana, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup grapes, 1/2 cup pineapple.

After dinner I had a piece of protein bread for “dessert”.

I am so glad that my energy level is returning and my appetite is settling down.  I found it funny that AFTER my week with Mrs. Murphy, I stumbled upon these articles.  I suppose the information will be helpful next time.  I just hope I can remember to read them over again.
