I stand corrected

I can just pop in quickly today because sometimes (two days in a row for me as of now….Annoyed) you start out with your day all planned out and then sometimes things just don’t quite work out.

One of the reasons the last two days are not going as planned is because I was absolutely without a doubt WRONG about Shred-It with weights.  The full blown DOMS don’t usually set in until 24 hours after you have done a new workout that your muscles are not used to.  After my post yesterday I got up from my desk and almost fell down because of the PAIN in my hamstrings, quads, inner thighs and butt.  It only got worse as the day progressed.  I am fully aware that the best relief from DOMS is to work it out.  So I tried to stretch, walk, stretch…..every time I got still for any amount of time I was right back where I started.  This soreness is the kind that wakes you up in the middle of the night when you try to turn over.  WOW.  I am STILL so sore.  I am being a complete baby about it but hey, I am just honest.  I don’t want to move.  And when I do have to do something, like getting my house clean by 9 am for a showing…..I am completely exhausted from the effort it has taken.



This morning I had planned on getting at least a walk in before anything could interrupt me. Like it did yesterday when I got a showing request for 1:15-2:15 and they never showed up so I went home and then they decided to show up late at 2:20 and ask if they could still show they house…..SURE!  Why not?…..I was just about to FINALLY eat lunch but no that can wait…..

But instead of a long morning walk to work out the DOMS, I got the house cleaned up in record time because I got a showing request for 9am.  Look…… beggars can’t be choosers so I approved it.  Then I went to the grocery store, came home, put the groceries away and then passed out for 2 hours.  Why the coma you may ask?  Well I was awake at 2:45 am until I decided to just go ahead and get up at 4:45.  I needed to get a head start on today anyway so why not make the most of my insomnia.

After my coma nap I felt refreshed and I got myself dressed to go on that walk after the boys and Jeremy got home this afternoon.  Well, at about 3 I received another showing request for 4:30…..anymore instead of getting excited about showing, I get annoyed….but this one is a second showing from the one this morning so I am not annoyed.  Not excited because we all know second showings mean squat, but I am not annoyed.  That’s a plus.

I would love to go into all the ridiculous feedback we have gotten on the last few showings but I just don’t want to be a Negative Nelly….I am remaining positive about the situation.  If today’s second showing turns out to be something good, I can not WAIT to talk about the conversation Jeremy and I had this morning…….

Shred-It with Weights

I got myself all ready to go for a run this morning.  It wasn’t raining anymore and running seems to be just the thing I need in my life right now.  I got all my stuff laid out, ready to begin the process of getting prepared for a cold run.  But after I got it all out, the thought of the effort it takes to get it all on, get my gadgets all set, get my key in a certain spot….I was tired just thinking about it!

I was already dressed for a regular workout so I just put my shoes on and looked in my library of workout videos.  I found one that I had bought several months ago that was still in the wrapper!

Awesome!  New workout!

There are 2 levels and I did level 1.  I am not sure what I think about it yet.  My legs are a little shaky but time will tell if it was a good workout for me or not.  Good Workout = DOMS.  As of right now, it’s not my favorite video.  For me, it didn’t have enough cardio so it would be a nice accompaniment to a run.  She uses a kettle bell and I don’t have one so I used one of my hand weights. It felt awkward using them in that manner.  They worked fine but it would be a more effective workout with the right equipment.

I did break a sweat though so I suppose that’s a good sign!

Since I was warmed up I was able to make that green smoothie I have been craving!

Ok so it’s not green but I know what’s in it and it makes me feel better to call it that.

This smoothie had:

  • 1 scoop of Jillian’s vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, black berries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • lots of baby spinach
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Jillian’s Yoga Meltdown

I did Level 2 of 30 day Shred and then popped my “yoga” video in.  I should have known this wasn’t your normal yoga video.  I lasted  5 minutes before realizing this was yoga on steroids.  After doing Level 2 of Shred, this one was not happ’nin today!  Instead I looked for a yoga video on AT&T’s On Demand.  I didn’t find yoga but I did find a lame 20 min stretch video.  I did that for 10 min and then decided to do some of my own yoga stretches.  Annoyed


The mystery of the Sunday afternoon no-show has been solved.  This time the excuse seems legit.  We got a message today saying they ran out of time and the kids ran out of energy so they will try to show the house on Saturday. Awesome!  We also got some good feedback about one of the showings on Saturday,  “House showed well. Clients liked the layout and space.”  That made me laugh because the other showing from that day said “House showed beautifully, like a model.  Clients didn’t like the layout or how the house was open from front to back.”  Geez Louise!   Last night I may or may not have had an emotional breakdown over this whole process after yet another one of our favorite houses went under contract.  One of our other favorites went under contract earlier this week.  But today I am feeling much better and still standing strong in believing our time will come soon.  Isn’t that funny how a good cry can make everything just seem better?


I was super hungry this morning.  I started out with a good bowl of oatmeal.

Today I added half a banana on top hoping it would last a little longer than yesterday.

I really need to get some more eggs for the morning because I was hungry two hours after this.

Snack #1 at 10am was an apple and a handful of almonds

Snack #2 at 11:30 am was 2 oz. of turkey and a low fat cheese stick.

I was good after that for a while.  I watched Dr.Oz, folded some laundry, talked to my friend and then did my workout.  I got hungry again around 3 but had to go get Aidan so I ate when I got home.


I had some leftovers from dinner last night.

Which was a spoonful of brown rice, Green Giant Tuscan Seasoned broccoli and some chicken apple sausage.

I also had an apple and another handful of almonds.  Hungry girl today!


Today in Luke’s folder was a letter from the school nurse.


This makes me so sad.  While I am glad that the school is being pro-active, just the fact that they are testing elementary children for Type 2 diabetes is heart-breaking.  When is the world going to wake up and stop accepting obesity (even just being “over-weight”) as a normal thing?  I wish there was more that I could do, but for now I must continue to be the change I would like to see in the world.

3 in a Row!

So yesterday I wrote about how our 2pm showing never showed up.  Apparently they drove up to the house, didn’t like the color of the brick, and drove off.  Yeah….that didn’t happen.  I never even saw anyone slow down or stop in  front of the house. Whatever. When Jeremy told me that today I just started laughing so hard.  I mean, really?  Anyway, it is what it is.  We had another showing today at 3 and I am pretty sure that was a no-show too.  I had to drive down the street from my post and get Aidan at 3:15.  That took all of two minutes.  Unless they “pulled up and drove off” in that time, no one ever came.  Oh well, what-a-ya-gonna-do?


After not sleeping Sunday night and dragging through the day yesterday, I woke up refreshed and ready to go.  I knew it was going to be a great day!

Two hard boiled eggs, oats made with 1/4 cup old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 tsp. chia seeds, 2 tsp. natural peanut butter & cinnamon.

The vitamins are: a Multivitamin, magnesium, probiotic, fish oil & calcium.

After some housework, I did Level 2 of 30 Day Shred.  It was brutal! I am so out of shape!

But I felt good afterwards!

I showered up & talked to my BFF over lunch. Even though we live miles and miles apart, we can still “do-lunch”.

Tuna Salad and a baked sweet potato.

I made the tuna salad a little different than I normally do.  I used light mayonnaise instead of Miracle Whip and instead of relish I crushed up some kosher dill pickles in my food processor.  I normally use Miracle Whip, but I discovered it has high fructose corn syrup in it and honestly a whole list of questionable ingredients.  So I switched to light mayo.  I have never been a fan of mayo but it is really good in my tuna salad.  I also used relish before and realized that ALSO has HFC so I decided to make my own relish!  It was very tasty!

Tonight is Spirit Night for the boy’s school at Chick-Fil-A!  Our favorite.  So that’s what will be for dinner!

Even though we had a no show for the third time, today was indeed a great day!

Finally Friday

It’s been a long week friend.  I am glad it’s Friday.  I get to SLEEP IN tomorrow!  Whatever that means!  I pray the boys will have the same thing in mind.  It’s supposed to be rainy all day so hopefully the dark clouds will trick them into thinking it’s still night-night!  One can only hope.

Dinner last night was a delicious comforting bowl of Progresso Light Italian-Style Soup.

When school started we changed up our eating schedule to accommodate the famished children that come home in the foulest of moods.  To be honest, I am famished by 4 pm too.  Instead of eating dinner at the traditional dinner time, we eat it after school and then have a snack later on in the evening if we get hungry again.  Most times they don’t or they get hungry for a little something right before bed.  It has been working out so well.  They relax for about 30 minutes then eat dinner. Afterward, I clean up the kitchen while Luke does his homework and Aidan plays.  So by 6 pm we are relaxing and enjoying the evening instead of just getting dinner on the table.  Rushing through it so that I can get them started on their bedtime routine while cleaning dinner dishes.  <—–impossible.  Another advantage is that they aren’t snack, snack, snacking every 30 minutes because 1) they haven’t eaten since 11am and 2) They are much happier having had a full meal because they come home HANGRY!


I also am not snack, snack, snacking my way to dinner and ending up not hungry for dinner but still unsatisfied because I haven’t had the ritual of dinner.  It’s a win-win.

So…..later in the evening I had a little treat of a Chia Tea Latte and a Luna bar.

A few hours later I was hungry again and had an apple, a few almonds and a piece of Jamie’s cinnamon bread.

The Bodybugg looked good again yesterday!  Even though my workout was a bust, I stayed active enough the rest of the day to make up for it I think.

Today’s breakfast was the same as yesterday. Nature’s Own Bagel Thin and peanut butter…..I actually sat down for 2.5 seconds to enjoy it! Winking smile  Better than on the run.

The weather in Dallas was dreary dreary dreary.  One of those morning I would have loved to have snuggled back down in the bed and listened to the rain.

Instead I went to the gym and did an upper body workout.  It was a nice compromise.  Even though weight lifting isn’t easy, it is easier than running for an hour when all you want to do is crawl back in bed!

I printed a workout from Bodybuilding.com that I found a few months ago.  It’s a fat loss training program and I REALLY like it.  It has an upper body workout, a lower body workout and then a total body.  I like separating the strength training this way because I think it works well with my body type.  Since I tend to put on muscle pretty quickly and being as short as I am I don’t like to spend too much time on it, but I know it’s essential.  I skipped the air bikes and did 20 minutes on the elliptical instead of the Stairmaster.

Today’s Shake Had:

1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
1 scoop MRM protein powder
1 cup water
lots of crushed ice
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 tbsp. sugar-free vanilla pudding mix.

100% delicious!

After talking to my dear friend for 2 hours….I went to pick up my sweet baby girl from the salon.

It’s tough being a diva.

What’s funny is that she’s not really a diva.  She’s a total tomboy.  The groomer was not happy when I reminded her not to put bows in her hair.  I said “For real….I can’t explain how much we both hate them!”

After school the guys ate yummy delicious greasy pizza from Little Caesars and I had a French bread pepperoni pizza from Lean cuisine!

Sorry there is no lovely picture because I am sure we have all seen a lean cuisine pizza but honestly I was so hungry I forgot until it was half gone….and the cookie, I was just too excited about having a cookie.

Sadly, the cookie wasn’t very good.  I am surprised because I love Kashi foods.  Especially the dark chocolate oatmeal cookies.  Strangely enough it started to taste good about four bites into it.  I think the flavor of the cookie didn’t agree with the spicy pizza I had just eaten.  I will just have to try it again!

We are planning to watch Snow White and the Huntsman tonight but what I really want to do is watch my DVR’d X Factors!!!  We’ll see who wins! The odds are not in my favor….I am out numbered ya know!

New & Old Faves + a plea from me

Things are back to normal around here finally. I am so glad. I thrive on a routine and schedule and so do my kids. I have found it really remarkable that all last week while the boys were away, I didn’t need a nap or feel the slightest bit tired at any point. Yesterday by 2 pm, I crashed and burned. It may have had something to do with the fact that I got a solid 8-9 hours of sleep every night last week and then Sunday night I was up every hour with a small child who wouldn’t stay in his bed. Could it also have had something to do with the fact that BOTH children were up at 5 am with me? Even though I could really use a nap right now, I am so delighted to hear them playing with army guys in Luke’s room right now. I know for a fact that the break was so good for my mental and physical health. I have found myself calm and assertive instead of screaming with a headache and frazzled nerves. THANK YOU MIMI AND PAPA for taking them for an entire week so I could re-charge!

Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.

Over our vacation last week I decided to take an extended break from my workouts. Meaning I didn’t workout for 7 days. The break was nice. Very nice, but I was more than ready to get back in the gym Monday morning. Much to my surprise…I was not able to do what I had been able to do the week before! Imagine that. My heart rate was crazy high so I had to keep it slow and steady. I broke a sweat after just 10 min of jogging at 5.0 mph. I guess it was a good reminder of my humble beginnings. Yesterday and today I have been easing back into my old workout routine by breaking it up a little. Yesterday I jog/walked on the treadmill in the morning for 30 min and then in the afternoon I did level 2 of Shred. Today all the treadmills were taken so I had to use the elliptical machine. Thumbs down I just did 30 minutes on that and then when I got home I popped in Shred again. Aidan loves to workout with me. I have a secret prayer that we will be running buddies someday!

I wanted to share a really great post that I read on another healthy living blog that I love.

“You Can’t Out Exercise A Bad Diet”

She hit the nail on the head with this post. I couldn’t agree more with everything she said.

Now it’s time for me to get on my soapbox. I try not to give advice on here, only what I have experienced personally. Everyone is different and different things work for different people.

I see time and time again people jump head first into a fad diet (think low or no carb), excluding entire food groups. Start an intense workout regime like P90X or Insanity when they haven’t so much as walked a full mile in ten years. They expect their lives and bodies to change over night or they believe they have found a miracle! I know there are a lot of exceptions but I think 9 times out of 10 they have set themselves up for failure, defeat, gaining more weight, feeling hopeless or unworthy.

I have done the same thing. I have done it all. Adkins, South Beach, Hydroxycut, Xenedrine, Weight Watchers, starvation….. I have learned one thing. I must do everyday what I know I can do for the rest of my life. Can I live with no bread? Can I do 2-3 hours of a workout 5-6 days a week? I could, but would I want to? It isn’t sustainable. I have seen time and time again (myself included) people start out sprinting on Monday, but then peter out by Friday because they are burned out already. And rightly so!

Then there is the diet situation. You can’t out train a bad diet. You can workout all you want but if you don’t change your diet, cut waaay back on drinking (or better yet, quit all together), quit smoking, quit staying up all night….working out isn’t going to do a thing for you. DIET & Exercise. When I lost the first 30 lbs., I wasn’t working out at all. It wasn’t until I hit a plateau that I started working out. It’s been said, 80% diet 10% exercise and 10% genetics. This is the absolute truth.

So I am going to get off my tangent now and just pray that if you are serious about getting in shape and getting healthy, you will take a look at the entire picture. Look at what needs to change, what you are willing to change for a lifetime and start there. Start by just going for a walk, then a jog….start by weaning yourself off soft drinks or for crying out loud quit stopping at fast food joints, better yet, quit eating out all together. Most would be floored at the calorie bombs these places serve up. Horrific. Educate yourself on what you are putting in your body & get real & honest with yourself.

Super Snacky

It’s so true what they say about needing a vacation from your vacation.  I was only gone for three days but when I got home I had 2 days of catching up to do.  Thursday was full of to-do’s like getting my hair, nails and toes done, laundry, cleaning, making a grocery list, and a menu for next week. Plus errands, errands and more errands….Friday had an epic grocery trip that took two hours…..Blerg….I was seriously exhausted after that. For real…I came home and took a nap! I intended on working out but yeah….that was a no-go.  We were out of EVERYTHING!  I am not exaggerating.  My children were eating RAISINS….they hate raisins….


Last week I made some pancakes out of my new cookbook! The recipe makes 18 pancakes so I put them in the freezer for later days.  I am so glad I did because I am not exactly sure what I would have eaten.  Maybe some dry oatmeal? PB out of the jar? Dry cereal?

Apple Walnut Pancakes – Taste of Home

w/ 1 tbsp. peanut butter & a sprinkle of chia seeds.

I substituted the oil in this recipe with 2 tbsp. unsweetened apple sauce and used 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk instead of skim milk.  I recalculated the nutrition facts to be

per pancake:  84 calories, 12 carbs, 3 fat, 2 fiber, 3 protein.

These are really good.  I had them again this morning except with, 1 teaspoon Brummel & Brown butter, 2 tsp. sugar-free syrup and chia seeds.

Today I am all caught up and it was back to business as usual.  I was able to get up at my usual time and make it to the gym.  I ran on the treadmill for 30 and then did some upper body work.  Later today we have some Father’s Day shopping to do and then I have a YUMMY dinner to make!

Skipped Bootcamp, Baked Sweets

“Shade of Grey” Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop EAS Lean 15 Vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. chia

Despite the horrific shade of grey…..it was delicious!  I love when my meal represents the colors of the rainbow.  If you mix every color don’t you get black?  And isn’t grey pretty close to black? Just sayin!!!! Winking smile

I forgot Jeremy had a meeting this morning and I wouldn’t have help with the boys so getting to the  8am Bootcamp was pretty much a laughable aspiration.  We are going to go to the one on Saturday morning…….hopefully.  Once again, a lofty aspiration, but we are going to try our best!!!

While I was waiting on him to get back so we could do Bob’s workout together, I baked.

Jane’s On-The-Go Muffins

They are a low-fat oatmeal banana chip muffin.  Their recipe calls for carob chips but I didn’t have any nor do I know where to get any.   I know carob chips have half the calories of chocolate chips, but I used mini chocolate chips instead.  These are so delicious.  They would be very good without chocolate chips, with walnuts or with both!  I calculated the nutrition value for a few different variations.

With 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips:

161 calories, 33g carbs, 3g fat, 3g fiber, 0 cholesterol, 3g protein

Without chocolate chips:

114 calories, 27g carbs, 1g fat, 3g fiber, 0 cholesterol, 2g protein

With 1/2 cup walnuts:

147 calories, 28g carbs, 4g fat, 3g fibers, 0 cholesterol, 3g protein

I started out having just half, then I had to eat the other half immediately!



This is slowly but surely no longer the most intense workout ever.  Each time I am finding myself hanging in there longer and longer.  TODAY, I was able to hold the squat position for the entire time each time.  I may not have had my thighs parallel, but I wasn’t standing there with my hands on my hips cursing Bob to hell.  I still hate the runners lunge push-ups but I do them anyway.  They are just weird and awkward for me.  What is the point of those anyway?  Maybe if I knew that, I would enjoy them, well, maybe just not hate them.

Burnt Fur Stinks

In the morning before anyone gets up, I come to my spot at the dining room table and read, pray for strength, wisdom and grace to make it through the day, wake up, have some coffee.  Sometimes I like to light a candle and just bask in the peaceful loveliness of it all.  My cat……..likes to invade my space during this time.   It’s ok though, she doesn’t talk or ask for anything and her purr is quite relaxing as well.  This morning she caught her tail on fire.

I heard this WHOOSH sound and looked up to see her TAIL…..ON FIRE!  I don’t even know what happened after that but the next thing I knew there were bits of singed hair all over the table and the nastiest stench in the air.  Poor thing.  She was fine, didn’t even know what was going on and why her relaxed momma was all the sudden freaking out.  As she traveled from room to room her stench followed her and didn’t go away until well after I had lit every single candle and Scentsy lamp I own.  Good Morning Tuesday!

It was AWSOME today. I think I am finally getting the hang of the bike and the resistance. I had a lot of fun today and didn’t once feel woozy or feel like I needed to back off. I love the instructor on Tuesday.  She is very mind-body oriented and is always saying just the right thing at the right time to make you dig deeper into that zone when you just THINK you are giving it your all.  She made me dig deep out of that comfort zone.  She said something this morning that I think only I and one other person understood.  She was encouraging us to up the resistance & then she said,

“If you want to stay the same, stay the same, if you want to change, then change.”

Morningstar Chik’n Patty, Alexia Chipotle Sweet Potato Fries, Green Giant Seasoned Steamers Tuscan Seasoned Broccoli.

This was the first time I have tried this broccoli.  I tried to find it on-line but I couldn’t.  The description on the bag says it’s seasoned with a parmesan cheese sauce and Tuscan inspired seasonings.  It was delicious!  Even Luke liked it and that boy doesn’t like anything but pizza & cake.

I have been looking and looking, “pinning”, book marking, and tearing out all sorts of recipes from my magazines.  This one from Spark Recipes was one that I thought sounded really good!  I had all the ingredients on hand so I gave it a go.  I warned everyone that they are “HEALTHY” brownies so don’t expect much.

Chewy Cupcake Brownies from Spark Recipes.

They are good!  They don’t taste like real brownies but they are a nice treat for those who are watching their figure and would like a sweet treat.  I like recipes like this because they satisfy my sweet tooth without making me want to eat the whole pan or batch,  or the entire remaining bag of chocolate chips….Who me?  NEVER! In love

I substituted the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour and added a packet of Starbucks VIA to the dry ingredients.  I don’t think either one made a difference in taste.  I will definitely be making these again.  I might try a glaze of some sort the next time.  They’d be good with a smear of PB too!

…and the boys weren’t too terribly disappointed! L even asked for one in his lunch tomorrow!


Afternoon Happenings

This afternoon we had to go to Petco for some cat food.  We always love going there to see all the sweet little animals.  They had some kittens there today!  We would have a zoo if we could.  Jeremy even wants horses and cows someday.  Never gonna happen but…just sayin, we love animals around here.  Aidan is forever rescuing bugs and critters, I swear the child would bring in an armadillo of he had the chance!

My friend Cheryl shared this on her Facebook page today and I just loved it.

Jeremy and I have definitely been through our fair share of trials.

Today was an all around great day!  Tomorrow is Luke’s next to last day of school, only a half day!  I am excited for him, I know he is ready.  He will be going to his dad’s house for the entire month of July this year so I am going to have to make the most of the few weeks we have before he goes.  Sad smile

I am hoping to MAYBE go to BootCamp in the morning but its at 8:15am and I am just not quite sure I will be able to make it that early.  I am certainly going to try!  Wish me luck!!

Food Rut

Breakfast Yesterday: Nutrigrain Waffle with 1 tbsp. Brummel & Brown (waaay too much), orange, Dannon Greek yogurt with homemade granola.

Today: Nutrigrain Waffle with 1 tbsp. natural peanut butter, strawberries and cinnamon, 1 orange.

Post workout snacks both today and yesterday: 1 cup cantaloupe with 14 almonds, Kraft Milk Bite strawberry granola bar (dangerously good).

Lunch yesterday: Big salad with spinach, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, feta cheese, peanuts, carrots, and fat free balsamic vinaigrette.

Lunch today: Dannon Vanilla Greek yogurt with 1 tbsp. natural peanut butter, pumpkin pie spice and homemade granola, 2 pieces of Jamie’s protein bread.

Snacks yesterday: Quaker Granola Bar, cantaloupe & watermelon.

I wasn’t super hungry for dinner last night so I had some of the fresh protein bread I had just made.  Can’t say no to that!  Oh……and let’s not forget a few of these.

Thank goodness they’re almost gone.

Basically I have been living off fruit and bread with bits of protein here and there!   I am eating what I am wanting….no need to eat what you don’t want just to get to the stuff you really want.  Winking smile But I think because we have been really busy this week I am just grabbing what is convenient.  I don’t have to give any thought or put prep into it.  I mean at least it’s not chips and cookies, or fast food, but I can do much better than this. A Food Rut is what I call it!  I am going to REALLY make an effort this week to plan some meals.  I haven’t been able to spend the time I like to gather recipes and make out a grocery list.  I have been having to go grocery shopping on the fly and just wing it with a haphazardly made list of items we are out of.  As I was grocery shopping yesterday I started to get hungry.  I saw pasta and sauce and thought….”Ohhhh I want some spaghetti.”  I saw some hamburger buns and thought “Man, I want a burger.”  I saw a Boboli Whole Wheat Pizza Crust and thought, “Dang….I need that….I want some pizza!”  Then I thought ok, next week….I am making all of that!

What I am Loving Lately

I have done it 3 days this week and I am loving it!  It’s so challenging and fun.  I have been wearing my heart rate monitor to make sure I am not over doing since the first time I tried the class I felt like I was going to pass out.  I have been burning about 500 calories in the 60 min class and about 350 in the 45 min class.  There have been several times I have had to really pull back because it was too hard.  I love that because it means I have room to improve and something to work on!  It feels great to be out of that exercise rut.  Now, if I can just get out of the food rut!

Cetaphil Cleanser

I know this has been around for ages, but it’s new to me.  I LOVE IT!  I have oily and sensitive skin. This seems to have made my skin less oily, softer, evened out my skin tone, improved the texture and cleared up a recent break out over night. Jeremy’s skin is the same as mine and he will use whatever I use to wash his face.  I have noticed an improvement in his skin as well.

Mouse is Jillian’s partner?!  It’s like a twist at the end of the book!  I am SO excited for them!  It’s no secret she is a huge role model for me and I attribute about 95% of my weight loss to her no nonsense approach to fitness and nutrition.  I look forward to hearing about her adventures in Mommyhood!
